Description International Shipping Exhibition Posidonia, the international maritime exhibition in Athens, Greece, is one of the world's largest shipowners in the ship and shipping industry. It has received the strong support of the Greek government and the Greek Shipowners Association, attracting shipbuilding, shipping, and shipping from all over the world. Port industry people are actively participating. At present, Greek shipowners already have 550 ships with a cargo capacity of 50 million tons, serving various shipping operations around the world. Greece is located between the Middle East, North Africa and Europe and is a strategic point. Since 2008, Greek shipowners have faced the downturn in the international trade and shipping market, and have continued to expand their shipbuilding scale in China. Second, Greek shipowners not only have the cooperation between Greece and China in the maritime sector. Three major changes: First, the order of traditional bulk carriers and tankers in China, the proportion of purchasing high-tech, high value-added large container ships and LNG carriers is also increasing; third is the Greek shipowners and China's foreign trade The degree of dependence continues to increase. At present, 60% of China's annual oil imports and imports of nearly 50% of ordinary commodities are completed by Greek shipowners by sea. With the 2016 China Ocean Shipping and the Republic of Greece Development Fund (HRADF) officially signed the Piraeus Port Authority Equity Transfer Agreement. Greece officially finalized the sale of the 67% stake in the largest port of Piraeus Port to China Ocean Shipping Group. According to the agreement, China COSCO will acquire a 51% stake in Piraeus Port for EUR 200.5 million, and acquire the remaining 16% stake in EUR 85 million after completing a mandatory investment of EUR 350 million for a total of EUR 368.5 million. 67% of the port of Reefs. This is the second large-scale privatization transaction implemented by Greece since the end of last year. It is also the first overseas acquisition agreement signed by COSCO Group and China Shipping Group. The port of Piraeus is a good transit port for ships to Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, and Africa, especially to the southeastern Europe. The Bi Kong project is a hub port for the construction of the Central European Expressway and the realization of land and sea transport, which is of great significance to the economic development of China and related regions. The China-European Expressway is an innovative large-scale channel that realizes land-sea intermodal transportation. After the arrival of the shipping container ship to Piraeus Port, it can immediately reach the Central European countries such as Austria, Czech Republic and Poland through the Hungarian Railway. This will greatly promote the trade density and total number of our country and the region. In recent years, it will play a decisive role in the development of shipping in Greece and surrounding areas. |
