The most important advantages of the system are traffic safety data transmission between automakers (vehicle-to-vehicle) and between vehicles and road infrastructure.With this solution, other drivers within 500 meters can gain knowledge of traffic, accidents or other important traffic events. Volkswagen's technology is based on the IEEE 802.11p (pWLAN) standard developed by the automotive industry, which allows direct communication between vehicles and road infrastructure.The technology has been tested by various automakers in international markets.Thanks to it, important information, warnings and data collected by sensors can be exchanged locally in milliseconds.The area where the vehicle collects vital data has been extended hundreds of meters, allowing you to peek into the "" sensory" "part of the car that can't be reached directly. | |
