| Description International Event Covering every aspect of the Commercial Fishing Industry from Catching, Locating, Processing, Packaging to Marketing of the Final Product It must participate in all the activities of commercial fishing organizations and related enterprises. Icefish hosts the latest development in the industry, showcases new and innovative products and services, covering all aspects of the commercial fishing industry, from capturing and positioning to processing and packaging to marketing and distributing final products. In three days, exhibitors from 22 different countries, including Denmark, Norway and the faroe islands, showcased about 500 companies, products and brands. The first-time exhibitors are from all over the world, including Spain, Turkey, Germany, Peru and Singapore, including shipbuilders, net clearing producers and gear manufacturers, many of whom are globally renowned and have a good track record in terms of fish supply in Iceland. The 7th Icelandic fisheries awards and 2nd ice fish fair are also part of this year's exhibition. The Icelandic fisheries prize was held on the night of its opening on 13 September at the Geroarsafn, Kopavogur museum of art - invitation only. The ice fish conference was held on 14 September with the theme "profits from fish waste";Icelanders are at the forefront of mastery.Including a symposium on by-product reuse by Icelandic pioneers, "fish waste profits" explores the value of the fish waste pyramid, highlighting innovative USES for the by-product recycling as a viable way to increase profits. | |
