Since its inaugural exhibition in 2002, it has successfully developed into the most important chemical industry exhibition in Turkey. TURKCHEM EURASIA has an exhibition area of 25,000 square meters. 340 exhibitors from Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Germany, Britain, India, Malaysia, Italy and other countries and regions participated in the exhibition, attracting 17,000. A number of professional visitors from 26 countries including Turkey, Dubai, Egypt and Germany attended the event. As a bridge connecting Eurasia, Turkey has an important geographical advantage. The chemical industry is an extremely important industry in Turkey. There are more than 6,200 chemical companies in Turkey, and the chemical industry employs 200,000 people. Chemical exports accounted for an important proportion of Turkey's exports, of which chemical exports accounted for 12.7% of Turkey's total exports in 2014. Turkish chemicals are exported to more than 190 countries and regions around the world. As a result, the demand for chemical imports in Turkey is also huge. In 2009, the total import of chemical products was 82.5 billion US dollars. By 2014, the total import of chemical products reached 125 billion US dollars, and the annual growth rate reached 10%. Turkish chemical import countries ranked 21% in China, 11% in Iran, 5% in Germany, 4% in India, 4% in Italy, 4% in Greece, 3% in the US, 3% in Russia, 2% in the UAE and 2% in Israel. The Turkish exporting countries ranked 8% in Egypt, 6% in Iraq, 5% in Germany, 4% in Russia, 4% in Italy, 4% in the UAE, 4% in Spain, 3% in the Netherlands and 3% in Malta. It can be seen that Turkey, as a chemical transit site, plays an important pivotal role in the chemical trade of neighboring countries. |
