| Description Technologies, Equipment and Tools for Woodworking and Furniture Industry International Exhibition The contribution of North-Western Federal District Timber Processing Complex to all Russian Forestry Sector. Timber processing complex plays an important role in the economy of North-Western Federal District. The share of timber industry in the total industrial output amounts to nearly 15 percent, and in some NWFD regions it reaches nearly 40 percent. The prescribed cut in the region amounts to 103,3 million cubic meters (MCM) per year, 40 percent of it is used, while the average performance for Russia is 25 percent. North-Western Federal District is one of the leading regions in biofuels, producing more than 7 hundred thousand tons per year (altogether the Russian Federation produced 3 million tons in 2012). Traditionally in the Russian Federation the three largest forest regions are marked out: The Far Eastern Federal District Northwestern Federal District Siberian Federal District 37,5% of forest density in the country belongs to Siberian Federal District, The Far Eastern Federal District possesses 17,6%, and Northwestern Federal District - 17,3 percent respectively. | |
